Regeneration: Sustaining Life and Community

Event Date:
June 29, 2019

Regeneration: Sustaining Life and Community is a participatory “pro-human" gathering in the events barn at a permaculture farm just outside Washington, DC. It will feature a panel discussion exploring how we can live in better alignment with the way humans are “wired” to live, followed by a potluck lunch, smaller group discussions, a more informal idea-and-book exchange, and bring-your-own supper with a closing campfire (weather permitting) in the field behind the barn. Throughout the day, there will be opportunities to connect with like-minded people.

This grassroots "big-tent" gathering, co-organized by DC-based writer Luba Vangelova, is for people interested in all aspects of sustainable living. The intention is to explore how all aspects of health and sustainability are connected, whether individual health, community health, economic sustainability, respectful forms of governance, and/or impacts on what we commonly refer to as "the environment." Ultimately they're all about having healthier, sustaining relationships with ourselves, with each other, and with the broader (human and non-human) community.
