The Pulitzer Center’s reporting and engagement lab seeks newsroom partners. The part-time, yearlong Fellowship emphasizes topics of health, science misinformation, marine fisheries and human rights, and provides up to $30,000 towards your reporting project. Deadline: Mar 3, 2024.

Knight Science Journalism at MIT announces a new one-semester fellowship, Aug 15-Dec 31, 2024, with a $40,000 stipend, insurance and housing stipend. Open to journalists from the region with at least three years of experience in covering science, health and the environment. Apply by Mar 1.

This virtual five-month mentorship program is for early-career writers from communities that are traditionally underrepresented in the publishing world, including Black writers and those who identify as Indigenous, persons of color, LGBTQ+, immigrants, writers with disabilities and more. Deadline: Jan 31, 2024.

These three- or six-month fully funded fellowships at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, University of Oxford, are for journalists and editors with a minimum of five years' experience to take some time out from their day jobs to explore journalism in depth. Apply by Feb 19, 2024.

This year, Solutions Journalism Network is offering 20 fellowships to U.S.-based journalists who want to produce climate solutions stories that shift the climate conversation from unsolvable and apocalyptic to actionable and engaging. Hearken, Trusting News and Solutions Journalism Network are inviting 20 U.S.-based newsroom teams to apply for this fellowship which is designed to help newsrooms think big, plan long term and reinvent coverage of politics, governance and elections with and for their communities.
