Meet SEJ member Maxine Joselow! Maxine is a reporter for E&E News, an environmental publication in Washington, D.C. within the POLITICO newsroom. She recently switched to the climate law beat, which entails covering various legal developments related to the environment and climate change. Many of her stories focus on lawsuits filed by states, cities and counties against the oil and gas industry over its alleged deception about the dangers of global warming. Maxine graduated from Brown University in 2016 with honors in nonfiction writing. While at Brown, she served as editor-in-chief and vice president of The Brown Daily Herald, the student newspaper.

Maxine is new to SEJ this year, but has already taken advantage of many of our programs. "I would recommend SEJ to my colleagues because it's a helpful resource for meeting other environmental reporters, catching up on important environmental news and entering environmental journalism awards contests, among other resources that are readily available," she said.
