Meet SEJ member Stefanie Valentic! Stefanie is the editorial director of Waste360. She has more than a decade of experience in business/trade publications. Stefanie is a proud graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University. She also is a board member of the Cleveland Pro chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. In her spare time, she volunteers for BaseABLE, a nonprofit that is working to bring baseball to the Special Olympics.
Stefanie is in her first year of SEJ membership, and especially recommends her colleagues subscribe to EJToday. She said, "The daily newsletters give me a wide-angle lens to see what is happening across environmental journalism. While my focus is the waste and recycling industry, seeing things from myriad perspectives helps me form story ideas and gain insight into exceptional journalistic principles."
